Webull Securities (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Nasdaq-listed Webull Corporation, has finalized its purchase of Pi Securities Public Company Limited, marking one of the more significant brokerage consolidations in Thailand’s capital markets this year. The transaction closed on August 31, 2026, after clearing regulatory review by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand.
The deal was structured through two separate share purchase agreements. Webull Holdings (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., Webull Thailand’s direct parent, acquired approximately 90.98% of Pi Securities from Country Group Holdings Public Company Limited, the brokerage’s controlling shareholder, for about US$90 million. A second agreement brought in an additional 8.38% stake from another shareholder for US$10 million, bringing Webull’s total holding to roughly 99.36% of Pi Securities for combined consideration of approximately US$100 million.
Pi Securities brings more than five decades of operating history in Thailand’s equities, derivatives and wealth management segments, and is a recognized issuer of depositary receipts. The brokerage consistently ranks among the top five firms by trading volume on the Thailand Futures Exchange (TFEX).
Growth Targets And Integration Plans
Webull said the combined entity is targeting THB 200 billion, or roughly US$6.1 billion, in assets under management, a goal reflecting the scale of ambition behind the deal. Chonladet Khemarattana, Chief Executive Officer of Webull Thailand, said integrating research, technology and artificial intelligence would be among the strongest synergies from the combination, aiming to make investment insights more timely and accessible while preserving Pi Securities’ local expertise.
Both businesses will initially continue to operate under their existing brands to avoid disrupting customers. Webull has also pointed to upcoming initiatives, including a partnership with a Thai bank and a mini-app within TrueMoney, as part of its broader strategy to reach more retail investors in Thailand.
Regional Expansion Strategy
The acquisition extends Webull’s footprint across Southeast Asia’s financial ecosystem, adding a licensed local securities business to a platform that already serves more than 27 million registered users globally across 16 markets. Webull Thailand is licensed to conduct securities business by Thailand’s Ministry of Finance and is regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand. Combined with Pi Securities’ depositary receipt capabilities, the acquisition is also expected to broaden Thai investors’ access to overseas-listed companies and global investment themes.
