The Department of Health in Northern Mindanao urged the public Wednesday to prioritize health and safety during the holiday season.
DOH-10 launched its “Ligtas Christmas Campaign” in partnership with regional health facilities to promote safe practices, lawyer Terence John Roa of the agency’s Management Support Division said.
Dr. Steffi Grace Enon, chief of the Local Health Support Division, said the campaign encourages healthy food consumption, exercise, discipline and avoiding firecrackers.
“(These are) simple yet vital reminders that good health and safety are the greatest gifts we can give our families and communities,” Enon said.
The agency also reaffirmed its commitment to the goals of Universal Health Care and to updating its five-year action plan for health security, following a recent national planning workshop. (PNA)
