GoTyme Bank has raised its customer target for the end of 2026 to 12.5 million. Faster account openings and growing lending activity prompted the Philippine digital lender to revise its original goal of 12 million.
President and CEO Nathaniel Clarke disclosed the new target at the Economic Journalists Association of the Philippines Infrastructure Forum on October 19, 2026. “We thought it would be 12 million, but we’re more like 12.5 million customers by the end of 2026,” Clarke said.
The bank currently has about 11.5 million customers. Monthly account openings have accelerated to between 450,000 and 500,000, up from a previous range of 250,000 to 300,000. Clarke expects customer acquisition to remain strong over the next 12 to 18 months. He cited increasing brand recognition, a wider range of financial products and greater adoption of digital payments.
Deposits, Transactions And Lending
Growth extends beyond customer numbers. Clarke said deposits have increased by about 80% year-on-year, while transactions are projected to grow by approximately 100%.
Monthly loan disbursements, meaning the total value of new loans released to borrowers, are expected to more than double from a year earlier by the fourth quarter.
MoreTyme Expansion
Much of the lending growth is coming from MoreTyme, the bank’s flexible credit line. It allows eligible customers to pay for purchases in installments or take cash advances.
GoTyme has invited about 1.2 million customers to use MoreTyme and plans to extend invitations to two million by the end of 2026. By the end of the first quarter of 2027, the bank intends to let all customers apply for the product. Loan approvals will remain subject to credit assessments.
Asset Quality And Profitability Outlook
Clarke said GoTyme has not seen a significant deterioration in its loan portfolio despite higher inflation and a more challenging economic environment. He attributed this partly to the bank’s relatively conservative lending approach. GoTyme prefers to extend credit to customers who already have savings and transaction histories with the bank.
The bank maintains its target of becoming profitable in 2027. GoTyme has not disclosed current loan book size, deposit balances or financial results in connection with the revised targets, and publicly available information on these figures remains limited.
