Three of Vietnam’s largest annual electricity and energy trade events opened together on July 15 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City. The 19th Vietnam International Exhibition on Electrical Technology and Equipment, the International Exhibition on Products of Energy Saving and Green Power, and the Electric Energy Conference and Show ran across nearly 20,000 square metres of floor space. Organizers said the combined events drew more than 800 booths and close to 650 exhibitors from countries including South Korea, China, Germany, Austria, Russia, Japan, India, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.

The fairs were organized by C.I.S Vietnam Advertising and Exhibition JSC in partnership with the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Mechanical and Electrical Enterprises, with support from Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and the city’s Department of Industry and Trade. Trương Chí Dũng, general director of the organizing company, said the exhibitions have run for 18 prior editions and have established themselves as the country’s largest specialized platforms for electrical technology, energy efficiency, and green energy. This year marked the first time the electrical and energy exhibitions were held alongside a separate food processing and packaging trade fair at the same venue.

Speaking at the opening, Kwon Tae Han, deputy consul general of South Korea in Ho Chi Minh City, said the rapid growth of artificial intelligence is creating new demands on the power sector, raising the importance of reliable and efficient electricity supply. He said the exhibitions would give participating companies an opportunity to explore new business ties and deepen technological cooperation between Korean and Vietnamese energy enterprises.

The program includes seminars, business matching sessions, and product launches through the close of the fair on July 17. Exhibit categories span power generation equipment, transmission and distribution systems, lighting technology, industrial automation, and renewable energy products, according to organizer listings for the event.

Publicly available detail on this year’s specific business outcomes, deal announcements, or exhibitor figures beyond the organizers’ own statements remains limited at this stage of the three-day event.
