Krungsriayudhya Card Co., Ltd. and JCB International Co., Ltd., the international operations subsidiary of JCB Co., Ltd., will begin accepting applications for the Krungsri JCB Ultimate Credit Card on November 1, 2026. The companies made the announcement on October 19 in a joint release issued from Tokyo and Bangkok.
The card is a new premium tier above the Krungsri JCB Platinum, which Krungsriayudhya Card already issues with JCB. The companies said the product targets a segment they call “JNERATION”: Thai consumers interested in Japanese culture, fashion, cuisine and travel.
Rewards And Benefits
The card offers five times the standard Krungsri Points in three categories:
- spending at selected Japanese fashion brands in Thailand;
- purchases made in Japanese yen in Japan;
- dining at Japanese restaurants worldwide.
Outside these categories, cardholders earn one point for every THB 25 spent. Points can be converted into Japan Airlines Mileage Bank miles at a ratio of two points to one mile.
Travel benefits include insurance coverage of up to THB 20 million for both domestic and international trips. Cardholders also get access to airport lounges in Asia, Europe and Hawaii through the JCB Airport Lounge Service. The card also offers up to 5% cashback on fuel at Bangchak service stations in Thailand. The companies said rewards and cashback are subject to conditions.
The announcement did not disclose the annual fee, minimum income requirement or issuance targets. Publicly available information on these terms remains limited.
Partnership And Market Position
Atis Ruchirawat, Head of Krungsri Consumer Group, said the card reflects the group’s aim to deliver products that resonate with the next generation of Thai consumers. He added that the JCB partnership lets the issuer offer rewards tied to Japan, whether customers are at home in Thailand or travelling in Japan.
Masaki Yokawa, President and CEO of JCB International Co., Ltd., said the card deepens the company’s long-standing partnership with Krungsriayudhya Card. “Thailand is one of JCB’s most important markets in Southeast Asia, and Thai consumers’ enthusiasm for Japan continues to grow,” he said.
The launch follows Krungthai Card Public Company Limited’s introduction of Thailand’s first JCB Ultimate card in 2022. That card targeted customers earning at least THB 50,000 a month. With the new product, two Thai issuers now offer a card at JCB’s highest tier.
