The Department of Social Welfare and Development in the Caraga Region (DSWD-13) has recognized local government units (LGUs), government line agencies, and other stakeholders supporting the agency delivering basic services in the region.

In a statement Wednesday, DSWD-13 said the “Pagkilala sa Natatanging Kontribusyon sa Bayan (PaNaTa)” awarding ceremony Tuesday coincided with the agency’s 72nd anniversary this year.

“The PaNaTa Awards is part of DSWDs efforts to acknowledge and thank individuals, groups, and organizations that support the agency’s programs and services,” the DSWD-13 said.

At least 46 LGUs, government agencies, and stakeholders from the private sector were conferred with the “Salamat Po Award”, while six LGUs also received the “Gawad sa Makabagong Teknolohiya Award”.

Eight media outfits, including the Philippine News Agency (PNA), were also given recognition under the “Gawad Ulat Award”.

The PNA in the Caraga Region was cited as the most supportive online news website.

The awarding ceremony was led by DSWD Undersecretary Rowena Nina Taduran, Assistant Secretary Arnel Garcia, and DSWD-13 Regional Director Mari-Flor Dollaga. (PNA)
