Bangshi Co., Ltd. has received an investment registration certificate from the Khanh Hoa Economic Zone and Industrial Zones Management Board to develop a high-end fabric manufacturing facility branded Unitex Vietnam. The approval, granted Aug. 21, clears the way for the BVI-registered investor to build on a roughly 3.29-hectare plot within Du Long Industrial Park, an industrial zone in Thuan Bac commune that has been steadily attracting textile and supporting-industry projects over the past year.

Total registered investment capital stands at $23.45 million. Of that figure, the investor’s own cash contribution comes to close to $4.7 million, with the balance to be mobilized through other financing channels, a structure typical of manufacturing FDI projects in Vietnam’s industrial parks.

The plant, to be operated through a newly incorporated local subsidiary, Unitex Vietnam Co., Ltd., will specialize in producing knitted and woven fabrics along with textile finishing services. Core output includes knitted fabrics made from polyester-spandex and nylon-spandex yarns, materials commonly used across the garment and apparel export supply chain. Annual production capacity is expected to reach 10.8 million square meters, or roughly 2,400 tonnes of fabric.

Construction is scheduled to begin in October 2026, with the facility targeted for completion in 2027 and commercial operations planned to start before 2028. The project is expected to generate more than 200 jobs locally.

Environmental Provisions

The proposed plant includes several resource-efficiency and environmental measures. According to project documentation, Bangshi plans to incorporate heat recovery, water reuse, and water-saving systems into the manufacturing process. On wastewater, the company has proposed a treatment system with capacity for 800 cubic meters per day; wastewater from dyeing and production activities is to be collected and treated before discharge into Du Long Industrial Park’s central wastewater treatment system, with provisions to recover part of the treated water for reuse in production.

Wider Industrial Park Context

The Unitex project adds to a run of textile and supporting-industry approvals at Du Long Industrial Park over the past year, including a spandex fabric plant developed by Derun Industrial Vietnam and a garment factory under China’s Sumec Group. As of the most recent reporting period, the park had attracted roughly $73 million in foreign direct investment and about $95.4 million in domestic investment capital across ten secondary projects, with three already operational and employing an estimated 10,000 workers. The park’s operating term was separately extended to 70 years earlier this year, a move local authorities said was intended to support attracting further large-scale projects.
