The City Health Office is inviting women residents of Iloilo City to avail themselves of the one-stop integrated health service delivery program in celebration of National Women’s Month.

Safe Motherhood Program Coordinator Mary Joy Rapadas, in a press conference on Thursday, said the services under the “Healthy Ka, Ilongga! A Holistic Wellness Campaign for Women” initiative are available in nine district health centers from March 16 to 20.

“The activity aims to promote women’s health and empowerment by providing integrated and accessible health services to women, mothers, adolescents, and senior citizens,” she said.

Rapadas said the concept is “preventive, not curative,” emphasizing that people should not wait until they are sick before visiting the health center.

Through the one-stop integrated health service delivery approach, women can access multiple health services in one visit, including medical consultation, dental services, non-communicable disease risk assessment, tuberculosis screening, family planning services, cervical cancer screening, and adolescent health assessment.

“The services are already available daily in health centers, but the focus this time is on the women sector,” she said.

“We encourage women, mothers, adolescents, and senior citizens to visit their nearest health center and take advantage of these free health services.” (PNA)
