The Dinagat Islands’ provincial government formally opened on Tuesday three completed projects worth more than PHP10.8 million, officials said.
The projects – a PHP896,376 materials recovery facility, a PHP4.99 million Bahay Pag-asa for the youth, and a PHP4.99 million farm machinery and storage unit – are located within the provincial capitol complex in Barangay Cuarinta, San Jose town.
Governor Nilo Demerey Jr., who led the inauguration of the facilities, said the projects symbolize the collective vision for a cleaner environment, a safer community, and a stronger agricultural sector.
He said the MRF would help manage waste responsibly, the Bahay Pag-asa would support children and women’s welfare programs, and the farm facility would serve farmers in the province.
Top provincial officials, women and youth leaders, and farmer representatives witnessed the inauguration. (PNA)
