The provincial government launched free telemedicine services Wednesday through the GOB SOL App, a new digital platform offering medical consultations, e-prescriptions and medicines.

The app, currently available for Android, aims to make healthcare more accessible. Starting Nov. 10, residents of San Pablo, Calamba, Santa Rosa, Cabuyao, Los Baños and Mabitac can use the service, with expansion to other areas planned.

Users can register, book online consultations and receive digital prescriptions for free medicines under the Akay ni Gob Botika program.

Gov. Sol Aragones demonstrated the app’s use during the launch. Online consultations with specialists will be available Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

“It was my promise to help fix the healthcare system of Laguna,” Aragones said, calling the initiative “a step toward a stronger, more responsive provincial health system.”

The governor also announced nine additional Akay ni Gob Botika outlets, bringing the total to 15 community pharmacies across the province. (PNA)
