Eight micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) signed a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Labor and Employment in the Caraga Region (DOLE-13) for financial assistance worth over PHP3 million.
The financial assistance is implemented under the agency’s DOLE Adjustment Measures Program, aimed at sustaining the beneficiaries’ business operations and preserving the jobs of their employees.
DOLE-13 Regional Director Jason Balais led the MOA signing on Wednesday at the agency’s office in Butuan City.
The eight MSME beneficiaries include Cha’ah by Juyen Restobar and Bravo-Lagnada Dental Clinic in Agusan del Norte; VL LPG Center in Agusan del Sur; SJ Lechon Manok House and Kaman-ting Grill and Resto Bar in Dinagat Islands; and Rozano Tailoring Services, Iriberri Bakeshop and Hiddout Carasscal Bar and Restaurant in Surigao del Sur.
“The assistance will be released during the Handog ng Pangulo Service Caravan on Sept. 14, 2026, which is part of the birthday celebration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.,” DOLE-13 said in a statement on Thursday.
It added that the upcoming service caravans, which will be facilitated across the region, will also bring employment opportunities through job fairs.
“Residents in the Caraga Region can access various government programs, services, assistance, and information through the upcoming service caravans,” DOLE-13 said. (PNA)
